The link is broken, …
The link is broken, but I remember this article. The two large objects are labeled poison and food. The bots can’t tell which is which unless they are almost touching. The robots are programmed with the simple orders “avoid poison” and “seek food”. They eventually form their own language.

I can imagine the prison for robots… =))
every day they would get a cellphone battery, 1000000000000000 calculations exercise, and electromagnetic disturbances after 10 PM so they don’t communicate, and all power down

At first, I could feel the rebel’s pain, his loneliness, his desperation…but, then, after a few minutes, I realized that conformity, co-dependence, and group identity are a much worse state.

Well the 6000 year …
Well the 6000 year old earth arguement is not universal among those that beleive in intelligent design. Time is relative to our understanding of time on earth and the spin rate of the planet. Theoretical demensions also change the context of time. When you bend light time continium changes and depends on an object’s velocity relative to the speed of light, and also the strength of intense gravitational fields which can slow the passage of time.
